2012 Daytona Bike Week A bike show under the sun

Few people know that the Daytona Bike Week is also a large outdoor bike show. Potential buyers can make the most of it and sample a number of models from a selection of more than 200.

Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, Can-Am, Victory, Ducati and Boss Hoss V8 all showcase their new products under special tents at the Daytona International Speedway. Most manufacturers even allow visitors to try out their favourite two-wheeler – in a safe environment to boot.
Getting your hands on a specific model at the dealership isnt always easy. In most cases, actually, people agree to purchase a motorcycle without a prior test-ride. Thats why the bike show in Daytona is the best place in North America to choose your next motorcycle. And when you return home, there will be no doubt as to which model fits you best. The only thing left to do will be to negotiate the price.
Go ahead and take a look at our photo gallery that captures the spirit and magnitude of this unique outdoor exhibit.

A license plate holder foot pegs and mirrors
I ordered some new parts this afternoon...
The license plate holder from Lowbrow Customs.
I ordered this sweet little piece from Lowbrow Customs (http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=416). I think the plan will be clearcoat it with a 2-part clear urethane. Then Ill need to figure out some way to illuminate the plate so as to avoid citations - either with the stock LEDs, something from Home Depot, or something from the auto parts place.
Hippy Killer cast brass foot pegs
Picked these guys up at Lowbrow also. They might look good. Ill decide later. You can see them at http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1055
UPDATE: These didnt fit my stock HD controls. Ive since changed from the stock HD forward controls to some HD mid-controls and these guys fit on there just fine.
Cheap little mirrors.
These mirrors are little and cheap. Hopefully they dont suck. But I guess theyre only 20 bucks each at http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1764.
